"a beginner’s mind" is three genre-bending soundscapes that are Jones' first finished pieces of music. they tell a story of the places and spaces he has been, and where he can go.

1. i’ve seen ghosts

~the abyss~
inspired by solange’s jerrod, yeezus, and ambient textures. step into the darkness and enter the unknown. when facing uncertainty it can be a battle to even get out of bed. the only way out is through and if you find a glimmer of light, follow it.

2. shoshin

~to wander~
shoshin is a word from zen buddhism meaning “beginner’s mind”. this bouncy dance track provides a thumpin groove that is eager to explore. as this house cut embarks on its journey, its identity melts away before finding itself again.

3. roses for neptune

~a pastel~
the soft and sweet melodies of this tune uplift. this song provides a calm space to rejuvenate. neptune is the planet of intuition, spirituality, compassion, dreams, & illusions. put on your rose tinted glasses and waltz in your bedroom to this one.
